Medical Planner – San Diego

Mascari Warner Architects, a top 100 US healthcare firm, is seeking a highly qualified, licensed architectural medical planner for their San Diego healthcare division.

We are looking for a self-starter with front-end experience working with clients and consultants to determine specific project functional requirements, programming, space planning, project documentation, project schedules, project budgets and more.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the medical planning efforts for healthcare projects and work with the project team in the development of projects.
  • Participate in business development, client presentations and interviews, and assist in preparation of proposals.
  • Lead user groups and other client meetings in the development of projects.
  • Assist Clients in program development and determine specific program objectives, provide room and departmental layouts and assist in the evaluation of existing facilities.
  • Assist the project team in the development of schematic design, design development and construction documentation to ensure specific functional aspects are addressed in the proposed solutions.
  • Ensure program and proposed solutions are in conformance with all applicable codes including OSHPD, OSHPD 3, titles 19, 22 and 24 requirements.

Qualifications

Experience:
5 to 10 years healthcare planning for acute care and outpatient facilities with an in-depth understanding of OSHPD and OSHPD 3, titles 19, 22 and 24 requirements. Proficiency in AutoCad and/or Revit is required.

Education and licensure:
Professional degree in Architecture, with an emphasis on healthcare and medical planning preferred.

California Architect license required
